1. Fusion of the General Osteopathic Treatment and the Primary Respiratory Mechanism
Speaker: Alain Abehsera DO, MD
Description: In the early Seventies, Alain Abehsera was a student of John Wernham, who deeply impressed him both as a teacher and the carrier of JM Littlejohn's understanding of osteopathy.
After graduation, Alain went on to learn the major osteopathic approaches known today, to which he added a full training in Medicine. He wanted to experiment the relevance of osteopathy in general medical care, a subject that is his quest until today.
Over the years, he has developed a synthetic approach to osteopathic technique, freely fusing the teachings of the likes of Sutherland, Becker etc to JM Littlejohn fundamentals.
Divided in three parts:
1- The clinical significance of switching from 'structure governs function' (Still) to 'function governs structure' (Littlejohn). Basic body rhythms used in osteopathy: the heart (as in GOT), the two PRM's (as in craniosacral)
2- The principles and practice of visualization and its integration in the practice of the GOT
3- Clinical examples and applications
