The Institute of Classical Osteopathy runs Foundation and Diploma courses in the technique and principles of Classical Osteopathy, the details of which are shown below:
Foundation Course
The Foundation Course is a modular course run over ten weekends within the academic year, between September and June
It is run from our classroom at 28-30 South Street, Dorking, Surrey RH4 2HQ [click here

The aim of the course is to provide an understanding of the Principles and Practice of Classical Osteopathy as well as the Mechanics of the Spine, the Spinal centres and Applied Anatomy
Completion of the Foundation Course leads to Associate Membership of The Institute

Completion of the Foundation Course then leads to eligibility to take the Diploma Course:
Diploma Course
This involves the following undertaking:
- completion of 6 months at the London Cinic for Classical Osteopathy
at one day per week. (If a student is unable to attend the London Clinic, then other clinical experience, approved by the Institute, is required) - 10 weekends, September to June, of formal lectures and practical workshops.
- submission of a relevant research proposal of at least 5,00 words
Completion of the Diploma Course leads to Full Membership of the Institute
